They have a phone, best bet to call them.
Simply delicious😊
Really delicious steak burrito special with green tamairillo sauce
Great as always!
Great service and great food
Excellent food, Excellect service, Excellent prices! Overall....EXCELLENT!!
$42 for 3 lunches! The portions haven't changed with the price increase! The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food is good, but not worth the $2 price increase! I've worked in the restaurant business for 12+ years and I can understand a price increase of 50 cents or even a dollar. Its not worth the money now. I've been coming here for years but now they have completely lost me as a customer!
Food is always wonderful in the restaurant and to-go. It's the only place I ever go to for Mexican food in the area. Staff is nice and service is always quick. 5 stars, will continue to visit :)
OMG!! The food here is delicious!!! If you enjoy Mexican food with great flavor .... this is the PLACE TO COME!!
This place is garbage. The refried beans look like they were wiggled out of a can, fried, and refried again, the rice looks like goya box rice with the canned vegetables. On top of that, the prices do not match the food. I was told this place was great but, I beg to differ. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone nor will I eat here again.
Excellent and fresh!!!!Came back today! Absolutely delicious with a new menu. Fresh tasting with beautiful presentation.
The food is fine here but the prices are about 50% higher than they should be. I don't eat meat so I was looking for fish tacos. I was told the could make shrimp tacos, $2.00 additional. The tiny little shrimp were hardly worth the $15.00 I was charged. I asked for additional chips after the two of us finished the skimpy serving we were given, I was told that would be additional too. I should have waited in traffic and gone the extra distance to eat at El Tepeyac Mexican restaurant on Old Bay Ave. the food is better and the prices are lower.
El Tenanpa is my favorite Mexican restaurant around. Honestly the salsa here alone is good enough for me. The food quality here is always amazing and the ingredients are always nice an fresh. Their menu is huge so there is sure to be something for everyone.
Excellent authentic Mexican food. Great service. Food very fresh and cooked to order. Highly recommend the Black Bean soup, hearty bowl with chopped onions and sour cream excellent taste.
Some of the best authentic Mexican food you'll ever taste. Great service, great prices.
Really great food. The chicken altimarano is my favorite. TRY IT! It's chicken in a really good sauce with jumbo shrimp and melted mozzarella cheese over the shrimp. I used to go there at least once a week, before I moved out of the area.
I love the food at this place. The portions are good size, which they need to be for how expensive. My boyfriend and I just get one entree each and the bill is always close to $50. We also, always drink water. The service is fair... they are decently responsive to requests, but are in no way friendly. We do not eat at the restaurant anymore, just do take out. The other post is correct that you are charged for every side when you do take out but you do get a free small bag of chips and salsa. Overall I rave about the food, but not the service or price.
My daughter's favorite Mexican restaurant. Their food is ALWAYS great, served in a nice calm family friendly atmosphere.
I've always heard that Tenampa was good, so while I was on a shopping outing, I decided to stop in. I'll start with the good, the food. The prices aren't quite steep or a bargain, just about what I would expect to pay for what I got. The food itself was excellent! The salsa tasted fresh, the rice and beans were a great side (though I'd honestly like a little more beans and rice... the presentation was good, though.) and the mains were stuffed with delicious and well prepped meat and veggies. The bad was mostly on the side of the service, which felt a little low effort to me. All in all, though, I'd definitely recommend this place on the food alone.
Was horrible, my girlfriend's shrimp was like rubber. She ended up throwing the whole meal away, we live about 25 mins from this location and we weren't about to go back.
Chimichangas are delicious
Very good food and friendly service
Great food. A family owned place Try the nachos with children appetizer. Cheese enchiladas goid
We were very very disappointed in all of the meals that we received. We spent over $ 65 and none of the dinners looked at all appetizing as they appeared in the photos. I ordered amarones al Mojo de Ajo$17.95Shrimp sauteed in delicious creamy white wine lemon butter sauce with fresh tomatoes and cilantro. Perfect if you like mild flavor. They had no pasta. They only had yellow rice. There was no cilantro, fresh tomatoes, or creamy white wine sauces. It was rice and shrimp. The other 4 meals were horrible too.
We love this place. The camarones borrachos and enchiladas zuisas we get are always perfect! Service has always been great to us (eat in or take out).
Great variety menu, helpful, friendly service. Large portions. Good value. Option BYO.
Great Mexican food. Family atmosphere and friendly. Best Mexican food in the area. The fajitas are the best. It is a BYOB place. I don't know why the other reviewers say the wait staff is unfriendly. I found them to be attentive and very courteous. Let's face it. It's not a fancy 5 star restaurant. If you want great food in a small family run restaurant this is the place. If you are used to being fawned over by overbearing waiters who are over your shoulder every second then I would go somewhere else.
A bit on the pricy side but great authentic Mexican food
Located in the Starboard Plaza with Mr. Mattress, this is a decent Mexican joint for NJ. I found it to be clean and pleasant on this Sunday afternnon. The waitperson was efficient if not overly friendly. The food was not bad as the previous reviews made me expect. I had the Queso Fundido which was 97% cheese. I would have liked a little more Chorrizo in it.The Burrito Buena Vida was served with a small portion of rice, black beans, and sour cream. It was a spinach tortilla and well stuffed with chicken, beef, and peppers. I would say it was good.Overall, decent fare. It got busy as I was leaving and I saw 4 take out orders being picked up in the 60 minutes I was there.
The Boss Chef, has never failed me! He makes the best Mexican meals in Southern & Central Jersey! My wife is there right now for some take-out orders for dinner at home! Very nice staff that treats everyone as family! NEVER RUDE or UNPLEASANT regardless if you’re dining there or in for takeouts. Meals are always hot and generously proportional. You don’t wait for your meals forever! Prices are reasonable and don’t fluctuate when the busy season fills the town!! Tell them “Jules sent you”. ENJOY YOUR MEAL!
This is the best Mexican restaurant around. I've never had a bad meal here. Tenampa is my go to everytime.
Small local authentic Mexican in comfortable setting good for a family or a couple.• MENU has a very wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes. Prices are high but worth the money for the quality. • FOOD is always very fresh and consistent. Complimentary chips and salsa to start are great using homemade salsa that is some of the best you can get. Fajitas are excellent.• STAFF is experienced having been open for many years. Meals come quickly when it is slow or with a full house.• CRITICISM would be that with no fountain drinks they serve soda or tea in cans/bottles so it can add up quickly. BYOB available for alcohol
Our favorite Mexican food joint by far. Their food is always fresh, tastes great and they serve large portions. We almost always order the same items and its always good. My son loves going there which is a huge plus bc he is very picky. They have a decent amount of tables so we have never waited for one. The wait staff is always nice and gets orders right every time.
I've had friends tell me this place is good. That is an understatement. Dinner is a little bit pricier than lunch but it's worth it. It's great Mexican food.
Used to love the place but now their prices are outrageous and the service is always nasty with one woman in particular that has a constant attitude. Completely lost interest here. Their take out is usually garbage too due to the fact they mess up the order 90% of the time. The food does not make up for the experience had with employees.
Our Last Visit !!! Been there at least 4 or 5 times. Service is spotty, not the friendliest but just O. K. Was there last evening. The food is not that good. They use jared tomato sauce for their red sauce. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, this sauce was good but the chickenwas hard to find so basically it's one big dough ball that you are eating. My wife ordered a beef and chicken burrito and again, NO BEEF or NO chicken. The chip and salsa are good but it ends there. I do not recommend this restaurant. For what they are charging for an entrée, $ 14-15 is just NOT worth it. ,........
I agree with the other posters. Food was very good, but the service was lacking. Both waitress were standing at the counter playing with their phone and only left when someone came in or food was ready. The waiter on the other hand did circulate abound and did check on us even though he was not our server. They only offer one salsa which is mild, I prefer spicy and my wife likes medium.
Food is fresh and we'll made. First time trying their tepeyac molcajete. It was wonderful. Plenty left over for another meal. Also tried their agua fresca tamarindo (drink)....so very refreshing and not over sweet.
The families favorite Mexican restaurant! Food is consistently great as are the owner and staff.
Their Pork Chimichanga with Chipotle cream sauce is one of the best anywhere.
Great food! And the dessert was great too
A zero is too high for this so called authentic Mexican food. Nothing was seasoned, god awful service. Just horrible all around bow this place has any good reviews is beyond me. I mean my chimichanga has a can of pizza sauce as it red sauce. Every person who gave this a good review needs to broaden their horizons and go find good Mexican food. Go to Atlantic city, hammonton areas for good Mexican food
I have never wrote a review complaining but for this place i will. It’s the Worst place ever. Did not go for a while due to waitresses being rude and acting as if it’s a problem when you ask for stuff. They do not do any modifications on any meals and try to charge you for sides instead which cost $6.00. They have messed up multiple to go orders at this point as well and there prices are outrageous, there one red sauce is literally marinara sauce. They should not even be considered a Mexican establishment. Does not even deserve one star.
Best Mexican food anywhere!
Worst food , expensives prices , very bad service , do not go to this restaurant except you want waste your money
Happy with food and service. Love Chile rellenos. Occasionally in past, tasted like freezer, but not recently.
Very good shrimp enchiladas. Fresh guacamole excellent
Good food and service
Very good food with the plates full. This is a family run restaurant, BYOB.
